Last Friday, Tuttosport reported Tottenham Hotspur are ahead of three other clubs in the race to sign Ange Postecoglou’s target Samuel Iling-Junior.
It was also stated his agent Frank Trimboli is the go-to representative of Daniel Levy and that could help Spurs in a potential deal in January.
Another report from today’s Tuttosport provides another update on Tottenham’s pursuit of the winger.
It’s said the north London club have ‘never lost sight’ of the England U21 international, ‘more so’ now that they are chasing for a place in the Champions League.
The former Chelsea academy graduate has a contract until 2025 and Tuttosport state ‘at least €20m’ is needed to take him away from the Turin club next month.
If Iling-Junior were to be sold, the report adds Juve could use reinvest those funds to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Georgiy Sudakov.
Tottenham seem to have a good relationship with Juventus, after having signed Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski [initially on loan] in 2022.
This, coupled with Levy’s ties with Trimboli, may favour Spurs to sign Iling-Junior, as long as they make a convincing offer.
