On Monday, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed they’ve reached an agreement with Hajduk Split for Luka Vušković to join the Premier League side in 2025.
According to Sportske Novosti, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and Hajduk Split president Lukša Jakobušić negotiated for months before they found an agreement for the 16-year-old.
As part of the Vušković deal, the report states Tottenham will allow Ivan Perišić to join the Croatian club in January.
The 34-year-old has a deal until 2024 and was linked with a move back to his former club in the last window. Hajduk Split seem to have made progress in their efforts to take the winger in the winter market.
During the discussions for Vušković, it’s claimed Jakobušić managed to convince Levy to let go of the former Inter Milan man.
Perišić is the ‘great desire’ of Hajduk Split and the outlet states their president has found a ‘verbal agreement’ with his Tottenham counterpart, who has also promised to Jakobušić that his side will be able to rely on the Spurs player from January.
Perišić made six appearances this season before suffering a knee injury in training last week.
Levy has reached a verbal agreement with Jakobušić for the wideman’s transfer and there isn’t anything on paper just yet.
The injury isn’t thought to be something which will kill the agreement.
