Earlier on Friday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Emerson Royal is waiting for Tottenham Hotspur to give the green light to secure a move to AC Milan.
It was also stated the Serie A side have closed the deal with Spurs and the two clubs have been sorting out the final details. Those details have been ironed out for the Tottenham man to join the Rossoneri.
That’s according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who states the north London club and Paulo Fonseca’s side have ‘signed the documents’ related to the 25-year-old’s transfer to the San Siro.
The right-back will have to travel to Italy to carry out the transfer formalities. Di Marzio says the Brazilian’s medical is being booked and once he completes that, then only the official announcement will be missing for him to leave Spurs permanently.
Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi suffered a serious injury during pre-season and Emerson can immediately take his place at the club.
The South American has played 101 matches for Tottenham since joining them in 2021.
