Tottenham have enquired about Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso as they look for a new left-back for Ange Postecoglou.
That’s according to Sky Sports Italy, relayed by Mondo Napoli, who say Tottenham have made enquiries regarding the player.
They explain that AC Milan are keen on the 23-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bologna and could be a replacement for Fodé Ballo-Touré.
Milan want an Italian in the left-back position and are keen on a deal, but Juventus have shown a reluctance to sell, putting a €25m asking price on the defender.
That’s a ‘large sum’ for Milan or anyone else, including Tottenham, to pay, with the Premier League side having only ‘probed’ the situation at this moment in time.
That’s likely been a call or conversation with his agent, who Milan have also started contacting ahead of a potential switch.
The interest from both sides is there, though, and something to keep an eye on as Spurs continue their rebuild under Postecoglou ahead of next season.
