Hugo Lloris lost his place in Tottenham Hotspur’s starting XI after Ange Postecoglou arrived at the club in the summer.
The goalkeeper hasn’t yet made an appearance this season as the manager has preferred Guglielmo Vicario ahead of him. The duo train together and the Italian has heaped praise on the 36-year-old for helping him a lot at the north London club.
RMC Sport relay his comments and then discuss Lloris’ situation at Tottenham.
In the summer window, Spurs tried to get rid of the stopper and he had opportunities to move elsewhere but decided to stay at the Premier League side.
This hasn’t paid off as the Frenchman is currently the third-choice stopper, behind Vicario and Fraser Forster, and despite this, the outlet states he’s ‘content with training’.
Lloris has a deal lasting next summer and with Spurs not counting on him, RMC Sport state they are ‘considering a departure’ for him in January.
It’s not made clear if the former France international would be open to this or if he’ll decide to wait and leave after this season, when he can join another club on a free transfer and collect a signing on bonus.
