Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs chasing Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who state the north London club are interested in signing the 27-year-old in the next window.

Onana arrived at the San Siro for free last summer and has starred in his first season, keeping 15 clean sheets and conceding 29 goals from 33 games. This has drawn attention from a few clubs, including Tottenham.

The Serie A side aren’t willing to part ways with the Cameroonian a year after they signed him, but that doesn’t mean a deal cannot be carried out because the ‘temptation of a mega-capital gain’ from the stopper’s sale in the summer could change the Nerazzurri’s stance.

If there’s an offer of around €35-40m, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta could give the ‘green light’ to sell the Tottenham target after this season. Faced with this possibility, the Italian club have identified potential candidates to replace the former Ajax man.

This includes Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who has already held talks with Inter’s assistant sporting director, Dario Baccin. He’s also on AS Roma and Juventus’ agenda.

If Tottenham sign Onana in the summer, he could replace Hugo Lloris to become Spurs’ No.1 next season.

The Frenchman has a deal until 2024 and his mixed performances this season has raised doubts over his future at the north London club.
