It appears that the Lucas Bergvall saga is reaching an end very soon, and Tottenham are one of two clubs he needs to choose from.

That’s according to Expressen, who have an article on Wednesday afternoon where they explain the young midfielder ‘will choose between’ Barcelona and Spurs ‘within a few days’.

Regardless of whether he heads to Tottenham or Spain, he will ‘sign a five-year contract’ and the value of the transfer is expected to reach €20m with bonuses.

Bergvall himself has whittled down the offers to two, and he’s decided it will be either the Catalan side or Spurs, and sources close to the youngster have made it clear nothing has been agreed just yet with Xavi’s side.

In fact, there is as much chance of him choosing Tottenham, where he would team up with Dejan Kulusevski, a Sweden international himself.

As mentioned above, the player will sign a ‘massive five-year contract’ with the team he chooses to join, and it now appears Tottenham have done all they can to try and get the transfer over the line.

It seems Bergvall will sit down with those around him and eventually make a choice, with everyone at Spurs now likely crossing their fingers and biting their nails, waiting for the phone to ring with positive news.
