Paris Saint-Germain were said to be trying to sign him, but Le10 Sport in France have been denying that from the start, with their latest article on the matter stating that it’s actually Tottenham and Arsenal who are in a fight to get the player.
They are joined by Chelsea, although whether the Blues can afford another €40m on a young player remains to be seen.
Le10 Sport explain that ‘three clubs’ from the big Five in England are ‘fighting over the signing’ of the Celta star, who burst onto the scene last season with some great performances.
The deal itself is pretty straightforward, since €40m are needed to get it done, although it’s worth pointing out that previous articles have suggested the Spaniard would choose Arsenal over Tottenham, as he would like to work with Mikel Arteta.
