Tottenham have already made their move for Genoa striker Albert Gudmundsson and would have no issue paying his €30m asking price.
That’s according to Il Secolo XIX, relayed by FC Inter News, who say Tottenham are taking advantage of their relationship with Genoa to push ahead with a move for the striker.
Spurs enjoy a working relationship with the Italian side after the deal for Radu Dragusin in January and, according to the newspaper, are taking advantage of that fact to push ahead for Gudmundsson.
Rather it is Tottenham who have ‘already made a move’ to take him to the Premier League and ‘would have no difficulty’ paying the €30m price tag that the Italian club have put on the Iceland international.
That’s compared to the Italian sides anyway, who would be less able to pay such a figure and are seemingly behind Tottenham in the race at this moment in time.
Whether that means he ends up in Ange Postecoglou’s squad this summer remains to be seen as he’s previously admitted his desire to play in the Premier League is no longer as strong as it once was, but Spurs are in the mix and seemingly ahead of the competition to boot.
