It seems Tottenham Hotspur won’t even consider keeping Alejo Véliz at the club in the next season.
The 20-year-old is currently having a loan spell at Sevilla, where he’s having very little playing time and should soon return to London.
Now according to TyC Sports in Argentina, Tottenham are already ‘looking for a new club’ to send Véliz on loan to in the summer.
It’s said that Spurs are preparing to send the player away again, as they want him to be in the ‘rhythm’ of big European leagues, and want a ‘big’ side for him to play at.
Tottenham spent €15m to get Véliz from Rosario Central last summer. In his first few months in England, he made eight appearances, and even scored a goal.
Spurs then decided to loan him out to get more experience, but the situation only got worse. Sevilla, a club in turmoil on and off the pitch this season, probably wasn’t a great choice.
With him clearly not ready to get new chances at the Premier League side, it seems a new loan is on the way.
