Tottenham Hotspur travel to Elland Road on Sunday for a crucial match against Leeds United. With the Premier League coming to a close, the result will impact whether Sam Allardyce saves Leeds, and also whether Spurs make their way into the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Of course, it’s not the European competition which Tottenham wanted to be fighting to get into, but this is the situation they find themselves in.
Tuttosport report that success or otherwise in that quest will impact the London club’s stance over signing Dejan Kulusevski. The Sweden international has been on loan from Juventus, but the clauses to trigger a permanent deal haven’t been met.
That deal would have cost €35m, and it’s been reported repeatedly endlessly in Italy that if Tottenham do buy him then they’ll want a reasonable discount from that figure. Juventus are keen on the sale so there’s a good chance of a better deal.
Tuttosport say with the added money from European football, and the need for a deeper squad, Tottenham will likely push harder for Kulusevski.
