Even though Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius continues to be linked to Brazilian clubs, it seems no one is managing to match the Whites request for his transfer.
The latest update on his future is brought by IG Esporte, and talks about Bahia’s interest in his signing.
It’s claimed that the Tricolor became aware of the price demanded by Fulham, but didn’t make a bid to either the club or the player.
That’s why the talks ‘went cold’, and there seems to be no expectation for developments for now.
IG recalls that Palmeiras had also been interested in Carlos Vinícius, but ‘did not advance’ so far.
So even though the player is said to be keen on a return to Brazil, it seems the clubs are having financial difficulty affording his signing.
European sides such as Fenerbahce, Olympiacos, Sevilla and Valencia reportedly got in touch for more information as well, although they don’t seem to have placed their bids yet.
Carlos Vinícius has 16 appearances for Fulham this season, with three goals scored so far.
