Swansea City are now included in the list of sides who are said to be interested in Martín Cáceres.
The Uruguayan defender is still to find a club to play for this season, after his contract with Juventus expired at the end of June.
On Monday, Calcio Mercato Web are claiming that Francesco wants the player to strengthen his team’s defence. The Welsh club are said to be “insistent’ on signing the player.
According to the website, the defender would like a move to the Premier League, although he currently has an injury and will only be available to play in October. That’s almost certainly the reason he hasn’t signed for a club yet.
The 29-year-old has already been linked to Roma, Napoli, Inter, Milan and Chelsea this month, with Antonio Conte’s side being reportedly in pole position last week.
Cáceres joined Juventus 2012 for €8m. He won five league titles for the club, and is now ready for the next stage of his career.
