Sunderland attacker Wahbi Khazri has told the Spanish media he’s unsure where he’ll be next season.
With Sunderland’s relegation to League One, the Tunisia international will probably leave the Black Cats this summer, and he’s recently been linked with a move to Turkey.
Speaking to Marca, Khazri was asked his future at Sunderland: “If I’m honest, it’s not something I’m thinking about now. I do not want to talk about my future now because I’m focused on the Tunisia national team.
“My head is only on the World Cup in Russia, to try to do my best. After playing with my country, I do not know what will happen.”
Earlier this month we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas are showing an interest in Khazri. It was claimed the Turkish club’s president Fikret Orman held talks with Sunderland over signing the player.
Last season the 27 year old was sent out on loan to French side Rennes, playing 24 games for the club. Subsequently the Tunisian has been strongly linked with a return to Ligue 1.
The winger is contracted to Sunderland until June 2020.
