Even though Inter Milan don’t seem too eager to sign Alexis Sanchez on a permanent transfer from Manchester United, the chances of a new loan deal being sorted are now being mentioned by the Italian press.
Newspaper Tuttosport brings a story today saying clubs could help each other by extending the agreement in the next transfer window.
In doing so, the Nerazzurri would grant to Antonio Conte’s request to keep the player and would also allow the Red Devils to be free of some of Sanchez’ salary, which could mean a lot given the current crisis.
Tuttosport write the Chilean international has a salary of €12m per season. Inter Milan currently pay €5m, while Manchester United afford the other €7m.
The outlet considers it to be unlikely that a deal could be extended under the same terms, but depending on the efforts made by Inter Milan to pay a bigger part of Sanchez’s wages, then a new agreement could be found with the Red Devils.
Alexis Sanchez has only one goal and three assists in 15 appearances for the Italian this season, and spent a large chunk out injured.
