Everton and Leeds United are in a battle to sign Juventus’s Timothy Weah this summer, according to Foot Mercato and Tutto Juve.

On Thursday, we covered claims from France which stated Marseille will face competition from Leeds to sign the winger.

This report came close to two weeks after Foot Mercato reported Tottenham Hotspur and Everton had made contact for the Juventus player.

A fresh report from Foot Mercato states situation has changed, indicating Tottenham are no longer keen. The ‘Toffees are still there’ and Leeds United have now joined them.

AS Monaco appreciate the 25-year-old’s profile as he can also operate as a wing-back or a fullback. They are mainly looking at him as a right-back and must sell Vanderson before making an approach for the American.

Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are in talks with Juventus for Weah, who could be sold for €15m this summer.

Foot Mercato’s title says Marseille will face ‘strong competition’ to sign Weah. Within the report, Everton, Leeds and Monaco are mentioned as their competitors. They also say he is ‘spoiled for choice’, but it’s unclear about his decision on future.

Over at Tutto Juve, they state Everton are still in the picture, after having looked at Weah last summer. The Italian outlet adds Leeds have joined David Moyes’ side and have asked information about the versatile player.

The Premier League duo seem to be keen on Weah, valued at €15m by Juve. They would have to keep an eye on RB Leipzig as they could return for him after making an attempt in January.
