Monday saw Leeds United part ways with Jesse Marsch, with the club battling against relegation and hoping to save themselves for the second time in two seasons.
Marsch had managed that at the end of last season, but despite investment in multiple players, he struggled during the current campaign.
It was always going to be difficult to be Marcelo Bielsa’s successor and the American wasn’t able to make the grade.
Now it’s a case of Leeds United looking for someone they can appoint quickly, with a string of important matches on the way.
AS report Leeds United have made an approach to try and get Real Madrid legend Raul, who is currently a coach at the club, managing the Castilla team.
That’s the club’s B side, and considered to be part of Raul’s learning process. Obviously the long term desire from fans will be that Raul manages the first team one day.
The Spanish newspaper report Leeds United have made an offer to him in the last few hours, but Raul has knocked them back.
There’s also been recent interest from Germany.
