Southampton’s Kamaldeen Sulemana has been linked with an exit from the club repeatedly over the past week or so.
Genoa emerged as a potential destination, ad the Italian side’s sporting director Marco Ottolini went public to speak about the difficulty of getting a deal done with the Premier League club.
In fact, there is now rising interest in the Ghana international and the chances of him leaving Southampton are increasing.
Ouest France have reported that Ligue 1 side Nantes are considering the possibility of signing the 22-year-old, who scored for Ivan Juric’s side against Swansea City in the FA Cup at the weekend.
The report states that as of now, the French side want a loan deal in January but the Saints want a permanent sale.
At the same time, Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Genoa continue to see Sulemana as an ‘ideal’ target, even if Juric has indicated the desire to keep him this month.
The report from the Italian outlet indicates that the forward is the target of Genoa’s new president Dan Sucu, who has taken over the side after a period of financial trouble.
Southampton will now have to be wary of losing Sulemana, who has played in the last three Premier League games.
