Trabzonspor seem to be taking new steps to get Paul Onuachu permanently signed from Southampton.
The freshest claims on the situation come from Karar, who state that coach Abdullah Avci has had a ‘one-to-one meeting’ with the player.
It’s said the coach actually got ‘positive feedback’ from Onuachu, and it’s now Southampton who’ll decide about the move.
The Saints are said to be interested in selling the player, and are now set to evaluate offers on the table. Only in the case they don’t get a decent bid, would they accept loaning out to Trabzonspor again.
Earlier this week, we’ve seen the Turkish side publicly talking about the transfer, and they sounded surprised that Southampton would require a decent transfer fee for his sale.
Regardless of the Saints’ desire to sell him, Onuachu is still valued by Transfermarkt at €12m. It should be no shock that the St. Mary’s side won’t indulge in charity by giving the player away, and now that Trabzonspor have their approval, it’s up to them to put a good bid on the table.
