On Monday night, with the Belgian transfer window shutting on Wednesday, there was still hope that Southampton could get rid of Paul Onuachu.
The striker has been nothing short of a flop since he arrived at the club in the January transfer window, struggling to replicate his impressive goalscoring form at KRC Genk in England.
This led to a lot of speculation about an exit, with a return to his former club mooted, only for that to be written off late on Monday night, which Walfoot cover.
With the forward only featuring for 22 minutes to date this season, it’s clear he isn’t part of their plans, and with various transfer windows closing over the next few days, time is running out for him to get his exit.
Walfoot explain he is now at a ‘dead end’, especially since Southampton ‘aren’t counting on him’ this season.
Therefore, he only has a ‘few more hours’ to find himself an exit back to Belgium, or pray that a club from either Turkey or Saudi Arabia comes to his rescue in the next few days.
