Brazilian journalist Marcelo Bechler was today live on TNT Sports with news on the future of Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

The reporter claims Paris Saint Germain have now taken the lead to sign the 33-year-old, as they have ‘in hands’ an offer of a two-year contract, with an option for a further one.

The French side reportedly believes that their financial offer is ‘unbeatable’. The sports project ‘speaks for itself’ following their good campaigns in the Champions League.

Bechler had already claimed that PSG were very confident of the signing, and the French side get stronger now that they’re the first club to make contact for the player.

The journalist also claims that Barcelona ‘haven’t moved yet’, as the Camp Nou side ‘dont know’ what they can offer in terms of money and sports project. The Catalan club are still to decide the players they’ll go after in the summer and have no numbers to show Messi.

On Messi’s side, it’s claimed he’s only focused on the remaining La Liga fixtures and won’t be listening to any offers for now. That obviously suggests that PSG are only speaking to his entourage.
