Last week, Tottenham were linked with a move for Lazio’s Gustav Isaken. It now seems as if Aston Villa are also interested in signing the winger.
Isaksen has impressed for the Roman club in the last few weeks, scoring once in the Europa League and scoring once and assisting once in the Serie A. He also impressed in the UEFA Nations League against Portugal some days ago.
La Lazio Siamo Noi have reported on the 23-year-old, stating that ‘signs of interest’ have arrived for Isaksen.
Aston Villa are interested and so are Arsenal and Tottenham. Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen.
All the clubs – including Unai Emery’s side, have expressed their interest through agents and intermediaries. Even though no offers have arrived for Isaksen, things can change in the summer.
As of now, Lazio value the player at €50m but by the end of the season, Aston Villa could have to pay a higher figure to land the Scandinavian star especially if he impresses even more in the remainder of the campaign.
Isaksen earns only €1.5m per season and potential suitors can easily pay more than that figure.
