Last weekend, Mundo Deportivo reported that the divorce between Maurizio Sarri and Eden Hazard is real and the Chelsea star was ‘closer and closer’ to Real Madrid.

The Belgium international said that he ‘doesn’t care’ about the comments made by his manager and the latter even admitted the 28-year-old should leave the club, if he “wants to go”.

Today’s edition of Spanish newspaper AS claims the relationship between the pair has not been good in recent times.

With less than 18 months left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskaia have the knowledge that Hazard’s decision to not sign an extension is ‘firm’.

This gives an advantage to Los Blancos who view him as a ‘cornerstone’ for the project at the Spanish capital club next season.

So far, the Champions League winners have not made a formal proposal to land the Blues player, but the ‘operation’ is in progress and ‘all roads lead to’ Hazard moving to Real Madrid in the summer.
