Portuguese newspaper Record today features an actually surprising front page about Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Francisco Trincão.

The outlet writes there’s now a Lisbon ‘derby’ for the 22-year-old, since Benfica and Sporting are both interested in him.

Trincão is loaned to Wolves by Barcelona, and is now unlikely to stay at the Molineux after the end of the season.

Record writes the midfielder ‘isn’t having the spell he wished in England’, as he’s not having the playing time he expected, so far, he had 1192 minutes in 24 appearances.

Trincão’s lack of success at Wolves is the reason why Barcelona could be open to a new loan.

So Benfica and Sporting already started moving and now work on their chase with the assistance of Jorge Mendes.

It’s said both clubs have a good relationship with him, and the agent will be ‘key’ in any move the Wolves loanee may make in the summer.

The player’s contract with the Catalan side runs until 2025.
