Glasgow Rangers are continuing conversations with Lille over Hamza Igamane to finalise the deal for the 22-year-old.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that talks are ongoing after reports that Igamane had reached an agreement with the French side.
The forward has been linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer after managing 16 goals and three assists in 46 games for Rangers since joining in a €2.36m deal last summer.
There is interest in the Premier League, but Lille appear to have raced ahead of them at this moment in time. A report earlier this week stated that they had reached personal terms with Igamane to join them this summer.
They are targeting him as a replacement for Jonathan David, who is leaving on a free transfer. The report claimed that Igamane is keen on the move to Ligue 1 this summer.
Tavolieri now follows that up, reporting that discussions are ongoing between Rangers and Lille. The latter are hopeful of finalising a deal the Rangers forward at some point. He has verbally agreed to the move and also reached a financial agreement with the club.
Now it is up to them to satisfy Rangers’ demands, with initial reports indicating the transfer could cost €15m plus.
