Rangers appointed Danny Röhl as manager in October and will try to add new players to his squad in the winter market.

The Scottish club are already at work and have identified KRC Genk’s Mujaid Sadick as a target. That’s at least what Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri is reporting. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report the latest on Rangers.

The 30-year-old has been with the Jupiler Pro League side since 2021 and played 135 matches so far, of which 18 are from this season. The centre-back has now ended up on Rangers’ transfer agenda.

Tavolieri reports Danny Röhl’s side have shown interest in the Spaniard and also made an approach.

Rangers have made enquiries about the defender, but the journalist hasn’t made it clear whether they contacted his camp, Genk or both. He adds the Scottish club could make a move for him in January. That’s all he has to report on Rangers interest in the Genk player.

A year ago, Sadick signed an extension until 2028 and Transfermarkt currently values him at €8m.
