Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri will need a ‘radical change’ to take place if he is to seal a permanent move to Sevilla this summer.
That’s according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who cover the player today and what Sevilla plan to do as they have an option to sign him permanently once his loan deal ends in the summer.
Hannibal joined Sevilla on loan in January, turning down Premier League interest to do so, but has barely featured for the Spanish side in the time since, with it explained in Spain that he has failed to convince manager Quique Sanchez Flores.
The whole affair hasn’t particularly worked out, with a report today explaining Manchester United are likely to be disappointed too as they have high expectations of the midfielder and were hoping he’d kick on in Spain.
Instead, he’s out of the picture and Vamos Mi Sevilla explain that means a permanent switch in the summer is unlikely.
They say that unless there is a ‘radical change’ in the coming months, it does not seem the youngster will have any chance of remaining in Seville next season.
There’s always a chance that can happen, of course, but he’ll have to completely change his manager’s thinking, with Sanchez Flores seemingly unimpressed by what he’s seen so far.
Thus, it’s very unlikely they’ll activate the €18.5m clause they agreed with Manchester United, especially with finances tight at this moment in time.
