Queens Park Rangers are negotiating the bonuses that will be included in the deal for Jonathan Varane, with growing belief it could be sealed before the end of the day.
That’s according to La Nueva España, who cover the situation today and how QPR appear to be closing in on their man.
They report that Varane was a part of the Sporting Gijón squad who trained yesterday but is ‘waiting to finalise’ his move to QPR.
The belief is that his departure from the Spanish side could be made official at some point today, with a deal close to being completed.
Yesterday was the key day in negotiations between the two sides and the operation is now in the final phase, with talks well advanced and the final aspects being discussed.
The conversations are currently focused on the ‘variables and future compensation’ and while nothing is finalised, it is taken for granted that the deal will go through, and he will be a QPR player sooner rather than later.
He will be the latest player to leave Sporting this summer, bringing an end to a two-year stay at the club in the process.
