Galatasaray have stepped up their pursuit of Watford defender Jose Holebas, claim Milliyet.
Earlier this week we covered reports from the Turkish press that Galatasaray are showing an interest in the Greek left back, and according to latest reports things have progressed.
Milliyet’s Galatasaray reporter Nevzat Dindar said yesterday the club are interested in signing Holebas, and the talks are at advanced stage over a €600K loan deal.
The Turkish side are interested in bringing a left back in during this transfer window, so it seems the Watford player is the leading candidate.
Dindar says the Turkish giants want to bring in a left back on a initial short term deal, and they’ll also push for a right of redemption on the player.
The 33 year old is reportedly keen to play in Turkey for Galatasaray, after he was closely linked with a move to Besiktas before his move to AS Roma in 2014.
Holebas has played 15 Premier League games for Watford this season.
