Getafe owner Angel Torres has insisted striker Enes Unal is not on his way to Bournemouth at this moment in time.
The Getafe owner has been speaking to Partidazo COPE, who were keen to find out what transfer business is happening at the Spanish club on the final day of the window.
The belief is that it could have been one in one out for them, with Chimy Avila on his way to join from Osasuna and Unal seemingly on his way to Bournemouth, who are keen to add another striker to their squad.
Reports in England had indicated that a deal for the Turkish forward was done and dusted, with it even claimed he was undergoing a medical in Madrid ahead of the switch.
Torres has poured cold water all over that, though, telling Partidazo that “no one is going to come. Unal has not left; we’ll see between now and twelve o’clock.”
It seems then, at least at Getafe, they’re not expecting that Unal will be on his way to Bournemouth at any time soon.
Perhaps that’s just Torres playing his cards close to his chest and not giving anything away, or reports in England were wide of the mark.
It’s something of a bizarre situation at this point, but deadline day of the January transfer window is often like that and it’s a situation to keep an eye on as the day develops.
