Everton target Jean-Mattéo Bahoya wants to move to the Premier League, with Eintracht Frankfurt expecting him to leave before deadline day.
BILD report on the 21-year-old today. The winger is expected to depart Frankfurt, who are eyeing a ‘substantial transfer fee’.
Frankfurt could see as many as four players depart before the end of the window next week. Several players have been deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ and need to be sold.
‘Preferably for England’
At this point it is not clear if Jean-Mattéo Bahoya is one of them. But he is certainly among the players who could depart.
BILD report that Frankfurt expect the player to leave before Tuesday and ‘preferably for England’. Several teams have expressed interest in the youngster.
The newspaper doesn’t name those specifically, but reports in England have indicated that Everton are one of his suitors. Meanwhile, Sport Witness covered a report in June stating that Tottenham are among his admirers. Arsenal have also been credited with an interest.
Eintracht Frankfurt are aware of the situation. The German club fully expect Bahoya to leave. They are hoping for a ‘substantial transfer fee’ if/when he does.
AC Milan are also in the mix, as are Fenerbahçe. A move to Istanbul is unlikely at this stage.
Ndiaye replacement?

Everton’s interest is likely to depend on what happens with Iliman Ndiaye. Reports have indicated that he is in Manchester City’s sights.
If he departs for the Etihad in a big-money move, Everton will be required to enter the market for a replacement. And they’ll have the funds to secure one too. Jean-Mattéo Bahoya could be one of the names that they turn to.
And it appears that both he and Frankfurt are interested in the deal. In fact, he would prefer to head to England this summer.
