Having sold Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City, Leeds United have wasted no time in bringing another defensive midfielder to the team.

They had already added Marc Roca from Bayern Munich, and now Tyler Adams is on the verge of moving to Elland Road on a loan with a view to buy.

That comes from Loïc Tanzi in France, who took to Twitter to relay the information that the ‘loan with an almost compulsory option to buy was validated today’.

In short, Tyler Adams ‘will sign for Leeds’.

This comes after a report from Germany on Monday morning explaining that talks between the Premier League side and RB Leipzig were already very concrete, with a bid of around €15m being mentioned.

It seems that fee will instead be a loan with that ‘almost compulsory’ option to buy, meaning that barring an early injury or him falling out with Jesse Marsch and barely playing, he will be at Leeds beyond the upcoming campaign.
