Picking up a red card for Everton against Huddersfield Town back in the Carabao Cup back in August, Moise Kean has seen that ban apply in Italy as well.
He had to sit out the Coppa Italia tie against Sampdoria back on January 18th, watching Juventus beat them 4-1, and with the next game against Sassuolo creeping up, it’s pointed out he’ll have to miss that one too.
That’s according to Italian journalist Giorgio Musso, who points out that following the two match ban handed to Kean when he was in an Everton shirt, there’s still one of those left to serve.
This means the forward’s first chance of playing in the Coppa Italia with Juventus this season would come in the semi-final, should they see off Sassuolo.
It’s a strange rule, but it’s one that needs to be followed, and Kean’s poor decision making in that game against Huddersfield for Everton has come back to haunt him some more.
