As things stand, Leicester City are heading towards signing Stefano Sensi from Inter Milan, as Gazzetta dello Sport have an update on the situation.
Wednesday’s reports already started to send positive signals to the Foxes, as it was explained that the player was starting to be convinced about a move to the Championship, primarily because of where Enzo Maresca’s side are in the table.
A return to the Premier League is looking likely for Leicester, and Gazzetta state on Thursday that Sensi has ‘now said yes’ to a move to England.
Leicester are reportedly able ‘to pay €2m’ to secure his services in January, a cheap deal helped by the Italian’s contract with Inter expiring at the end of the season.
Maresca, down his end, is ‘already thinking’ about Sensi as a player he will use as a ‘structural’ piece to his squad for next year’s campaign in the Premier League if the Foxes continue their good form and get promoted.
Great news for both Sensi and Leicester, then, who appear well on their way to bolstering their squad with a player raring to get minutes after being starved of football for much of the current season.
