Everton’s chase for UD Almeria striker El Bilal Touré may have gone quiet in the past few days, but the Toffees still seem well positioned in the race for him.
Some updates on the 21-year-old’s future are today brought by Cadena Ser, with the Spanish outlet claiming the player should soon be gone from the La Liga side.
Touré isn’t even being used in Almeria’s pre-season games, as he ‘does not take unnecessary risks’, and it’s claimed that his time at the club will come to an end in the ‘coming days’.
Everton are said to be the ‘main contenders’ for the signing, even though they may face the competition from Atalanta, who are getting prepared to lose Rasmus Højlund.
Cadena Ser points out that Touré’s sale is the ‘key’ for many operations at Almeria, as the club want to make at least €30m with the sale and reinvest in other signings.
The interest from Everton has been heavily reported by the football media this month, with claims even saying the Toffees had put €40m on the table for the transfer.
Some claims from the Spanish media disagreed, with reports saying the Premier League side offered less. Either way, they seem to continue to lead the race, and Almeria look forward to the sale.
