Italian outlet CalcioMercato explains the market situation lived by AS Roma, who could still have departures and arrivals in the final weeks of the January window.

With Valencia ‘serious’ about signing Amadou Diawara, probably encouraged by Jorge Mendes, it’s possible that the Giallorossi will accept an improved offer and then go after a replacement.

That’s where Tanguy Ndombele comes in, as he’s one of the names on the table. The website says the Tottenham Hotspur player is a ‘dream’ for the Serie A side, as José Mourinho already worked with him in London.

It’s claimed that the midfielder, who’s been ‘excluded’ from training by Antonio Conte, is ‘at the exit door’ at Spurs.

Still, that isn’t expected to be an easy signing for Roma, especially because Tottenham spent €62m when taking the player from Lyon. CalcioMercato says the ‘formula is decisive’, as only a loan with an option to buy is ‘suitable’ for the Serie A side.

The story adds that besides Giallorossi, the likes of Juventus and Napoli are also interested and could provide competition for the transfer as well.
