Burnley have made it clear they don’t want to negotiate with Wolverhampton Wanderers over Luca Koleosho after an initial €25m offer was rejected.
That’s according to Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that Wolves put their offer on the table but saw it turned down.
Tavolieri reports that Koleosho wants to leave Burnley this summer and to join Wolves after they made their interest clear. He’s now less than happy about the situation after Wolves saw their bid turned down.
Sources close to the matter have told Tavolieri that the situation should move after Wolves host Burnley in the League Cup on Wednesday.
What he means by this isn’t clear, although the implication is that Burnley don’t want to strengthen a team they’re facing this week.
The question is what price they might accept for the 19-year-old, who only cost them €3m to sign from RCD Espanyol B a year ago. He already represents a major profit at €25m.
It also remains to be seen how much Wolves are willing to spend, with one big bid already rejected for a player who managed one goal and one assist in 15 Premier League games last season before a knee injury.
