Granada CF are considering signing Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri in the winter market.
The La Liga side have already strengthened their defence and midfield, and also added a new goalkeeper to their squad. They are now focusing on bolstering their attack and this is where Pellestri fits in.
That’s according to AS, who explain that the Spanish club ‘continue to negotiate’ a deal with Manchester United for the winger. They further add ‘there are talks’ between the two clubs for the 22-year-old’s loan transfer.
This operation hasn’t been easy for Granada due to ‘classic economic issues’. AS provide no further explanation for the same, but state this case is still open.
Apart from the Uruguay international, the report says they are also handling other options for the attack.
Club Brugge’s Faitout Maouassa, who is currently on loan at RC Lens, is expected to make a switch to Granada. That’s according to Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state this and also provide an update on Pellestri.
Longari claims Granada are ‘close to closing’ the deal for the Manchester United player.
Pellestri made 14 appearances this season, managing an assist in the process.
