Palmeiras forward Raphael Veiga has ‘been approached’ by Fulham ahead of a possible move in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Goal Brazil, who say the attacking midfielder has a growing list of suitors from England, Italy and Spain.
They report that Veiga has ‘received enquiries’ from Italy and Spain to leave Palmeiras in the next European transfer window.
Those clubs, who remain unnamed, have joined a quartet of Premier League sides showing an interest in the 27-year-old and Fulham are one of them.
They are yet to make an official offer to take the player from the Academia de Futebol but GOAL’s information is that a sale ‘is possible’ once the transfer window opens.
Palmeiras are yet to set a price for the midfielder and the board are waiting for a ‘convincing proposal’ before entering any negotiations.
They currently own 85% of the economic rights of the player, whose current contract runs until December 31st, 2026. The player himself owns the other 15% of his rights, although his agent, André Cury has an ‘exclusivity letter’ to receive a percentage of any potential transfer.
A transfer could prove complicated for the likes of Fulham, then, with several people needing to be paid and a price not yet set on him.
It seems his tally of 66 goals and 23 assists in 207 games for the Brazilian club has not gone unnoticed, though, and Marco Silva might be looking to add another Brazilian to his current trio of Andreas Pereira, Willian and Carlos Vinicius.
