On Monday, Marca reported Real Betis have everything agreed with Leicester City’s Ayoze Pérez to join them in the winter market.
Estadio Deportivo now claim the 29-year-old didn’t entertain other clubs after the La Liga side came forward to sign him. His contract expires in June and he’s ‘already said goodbye’ to the Foxes.
The Spaniard is waiting for Manuel Pellegrini’s side to get rid of Loren and/or Diego Lainez in order to give salary space to register him.
Like Marca, Estadio Deportivo don’t mention anything about the deal Betis will agree with the Premier League side. This information is provided by today’s ABC de Sevilla.
Betis will take Pérez on a loan deal until the end of this season. Leicester have guaranteed the attacker’s transfer will be made comfortable for both parties and they will not request a loan fee. This will allow them to save on his salary, and he will have to take a considerable pay cut to join the Spanish club.
The player has ‘completed the entire process’ with Leicester so that they allow him to join the La Liga club.
Pérez waits in England with ‘bags packed’ to complete a move to Betis. His arrival depends on them getting rid of some of their players, which is needed to register the attacker.
Loren is the main candidate, but there is also Lainez, who has a good offer from Tigres.
With all parties in favour of the operation, Pérez will be able to join Betis once they are able to get rid of one or more of their players.
