Tammy Abraham’s future now definitely lies away from Roma and after initial claims about a move to AC Milan, the possibility of a West Ham training is growing.
The Hammers are keen according to endless Italian reports going back months, and Gazzetta dello Sport today are confident that the move could go through late in the window.
The money Roma earn from Abraham’s sale will help them ‘complete’ their squad, as they claim that the Englishman’s move to West Ham is ‘very close’.
To further underline that, they say the ‘operation is very well underway’, and for Gazzetta there is some confidence the move will be done.
Il Tempo, as relayed by Siamo La Roma, also report that talks between the two clubs are well advanced, with West Ham keen on matching Roma’s asking price of about €20m to €25m.
An issue around the salary exists and the parties involved are trying to resolve that, with Gazzetta also mentioning that Abraham earns €6m per season, a figure likely to be after tax.
