Nottingham Forest have included Udinese’s Jaka Bijol in their target list for this summer.
The centre-back joined the Serie A side from CSKA Moscow in July 2022 and he has been a regular for them in the last two seasons, making 58 appearances in all competitions.
Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to now state that the interest in the 25-year-old is ‘heating up’.
When discussing the interested parties, he mentions Nottingham Forest, VfL Wolfsburg and VfB Stuttgart.
He says Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and the Bundelsiga duo like the Slovakia international’s profile.
Wolfsburg and Stuttgart have already carried out surveys for Bijol, while Longari adds that Nottingham Forest have also requested information about him. That request will likely be related to transfer fee.
Bijol has three years left on his deal with the Serie A side. He has impressed for Slovenia at the Euros, where they were knocked out by Portugal in the last 16.
On July 2nd, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Aston Villa have made contact to sign Bijol. It was also stated Udinese are requesting €16-18m to sanction his sale this summer.
