Following the summer rumours which linked the likes of Nottingham Forest and West Ham United to Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, his potential move to the Premier League remains a subject in Italy.
It’s Calcio Mercato who comes up to say that due to the player’s ‘very complicated’ relationship with manager Gian Piero Gasperini, a move away from Atalanta is a very real possibility.
The outlet points out that it’s in the Premier League where he has most admirers. Nottingham Forest and West Ham are two of them, along with Tottenham Hotspur, with French side Marseille also in the battle.
Calcio Mercato point out that the Reds and Hammers had already ‘come forward’ for his signing in the summer, and are now ‘ready to return to office’ for his signing in the January window.
What is left to see is how much Atalanta will demand to let Malinovskyi go in the winter market. At the start of September, we covered reports from the Italian media which claimed the Serie A side requested €50m for the move, and that’s what backed off Nottingham Forest and West Ham from the signing.
