Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala has been spotted in Germany ahead of his move to Lyon.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg published an exclusive video of the player in a hotel lobby.
Mangala is said to be waiting with his agents to fly to Lyon and seal his departure from Nottingham Forest.
It’s claimed there’s a ‘total agreement’ between the clubs, with the French club paying initial €35m, with another potential €5m in add-ons. He’s expected to sign a contract until 2028 ‘with exit-options’, which aren’t really clarified.
According to Plettenberg, there’s also something to be sorted between Nottingham Forest and Mangala. It’s said there’s still ‘no agreement’ regarding an ‘important contract detail’.
That may be one of the reasons why the transfer is taking so long to be confirmed, although there’s also the issue of Lyon reportedly waiting for the approval from the DNCG for the operation.
Either way, it seems there’s confidence from all parties that this saga will be over soon, and there are now even some images to show how close that is.
