According to a claim in the Turkish media, Nottingham Forest are still showing interest in Galatasaray attacker Barış Alper Yılmaz.
The Turkey international was linked with a move to the City Ground during the last summer transfer window, but a transfer never materialised despite reports of an offer coming in from the Premier League side.
Star report Nottingham Forest are still monitoring the situation with Yılmaz and are ready to move in on the right winger during the January transfer window.
It’s claimed the Premier League side are closing in on the player and ready to offer in the region of €20m to get a deal over the line.
The Turkish media outlet goes on to say Galatasaray and Nottingham Forest will continue to hold transfer talks, but the Istanbul side are looking for offers exceeding €20m.
Yılmaz was also linked with Liverpool, West Ham United and Newcastle United during the last window.
The 24-year-old has made just ten appearances, scoring four goals during an injury hit season. He’s contracted to the Turkish champions until June 2027, but it seems Gala are prepared to offload him if the right offer comes in.
