Fulham star João Palhinha has spoken out about his transfer situation in an interview with the Portuguese media.
The midfielder spoke to DAZN in a story which will only be aired by Eleven on the 10th of December. However, it turns out that O Jogo already feature some of his quotes.
Palhinha started by claiming that he’s not worried about the January transfer window, as he’s completely focused on how Fulham will do in December.
“It’s not starting to mess with my head, I’m calm. I don’t think about what’s to come,” said João Palhinha.
“I’m really thinking about the seven games we have coming up in December, they’re complicated, there’s Boxing Day, everything comes together… It’s an important month for Fulham and for me too. And that’s my focus. Whatever has to happen in January will happen.”
Palhinha is perhaps right to not think about Bayern Munich too much, because recent reports from the German media have been claiming that the Bundesliga side may actually got for younger and cheaper options for the January transfer window.
It’s been said this week that the club are set to focus on the arrival of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for this ‘holding six position’, leaving the Fulham player out of the picture for now.
That said, there’s very much the chance that’s a bargaining position from Bayern Munich ahead of possible talks with Fulham.
