Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Tottenham Hotspur’s Emerson Royal is the favourite target for AC Milan.

Two days ago, Calciomercato stated the right-back holds a Spanish passport and it would be an advantage for the Serie A side, if they were to buy him in the summer window.

A fresh report from Calciomercato relay it and add that Milan had already tried signing the Tottenham player on two occasions in the past.

The Brazil international arrived at the north London club in 2021 and the Rossoneri made the first attempt a year before that. Their former director, Frederic Massara, had held talks with his agent and then again in 2021, without making any progress.

It’s claimed Milan could return for the 25-year-old in the next window. The report states he currently earns €2.2m per year at Tottenham and ‘these are not impossible figures’ for the San Siro club.

Earlier claims stated Ange Postecoglou’s side aren’t desperate to sell as they still believe in his qualities. Calciomercato claim otherwise and say Tottenham ‘could consider’ cashing in from his sale after this season.

Milan are set to part ways with Stefano Pioli and his replacement will have a say, before the Rossoneri could consider making a concrete approach for Emerson.
