Celtic have Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen on their list as well as former Leeds United man Mateusz Bogusz as they look to strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, as they reveal Celtic’s interest in both players today while focusing primarily on the former.

They say that Celtic were interested in Isaksen in the summer and remain so in January. There is ‘not even a shadow of an offer’ for him at this moment in time.

If that doesn’t change, he’s set to stay with Lazio until the end of the season at least. His manager, Ivan Marko Benes, has not received any offers of any kind for him.

The Danish striker’s plan is to play the last few months of the season and try to get into form after just two goals in Serie A so far. Lazio expected more of him and still expects an improvement. The hope is that he can become more ‘decisive’.

He proved that he could be in Naples but ‘went through new difficulties’ after that. Celtic were interested in the summer and remain so but are holding off for now.

That could be because of their interest in former Leeds United man Mateusz Bogusz. He has also been linked with Lazio, hence Corriere covering him.

He’s been shining in MLS with Los Angeles FC, with 15 goals in the league, 20 in total and 11 assists in 48 games as well.

That’s earned him attention and Celtic are one of the teams following him. Lazio have also been credited with an interested but have denied it when questioned.

The Polish international’s American adventure has him on the radar at Celtic, who are also keeping track of Isaksen.
