Lars Lagerback has told the Norwegian media Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer is recovering from the injury he picked up against Dundee at the weekend.
The youngster didn’t finish the game on Sunday after picking up a facial injury in Celtic’s 1-0 victory.
Speaking in his press conference, Lagerback was asked about the situation with the Celtic player, as covered by Rb.no: “He’s doing well. I have met him today and there are no problems. We agreed that the knock came at the least dangerous part of the body.”
Ajer will be looking to add to his six caps for Norway when his country take on Spain and Sweden during this international break.
The Celtic defender has become a regular in the Norwegian national squad and his performances for the Scottish champions this season have helped.
Under Brendan Rodgers the 20 year old cemented a place in the Celtic starting eleven, which has continued since the reappointment of Neil Lennon a few weeks ago.
Ajer has started 15 league games this season for the Hoops, including the last 5 matches.
