Earlier on Monday, we covered a couple of articles in the Italian media regarding the interest of AC Milan and Napoli in Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior.
The Poland international’s lack of minutes with the Gunners has led to Serie A sides sniffing around for a deal, with suggestions Walter Mazzarri’s side could even try to buy him outright.
This, however, is dismissed by TuttoMercatoWeb on Monday evening, who have an exclusive giving the details of Arsenal’s stance in all this.
While it was always clear they weren’t open to any type of loan for their young centre-back, they aren’t looking to sell either.
There is ‘no possibility’ for Milan to sign the player in January, who ‘tried to ask for information’, only to receive ‘rejections’ from the Gunners.
In fact, ‘unless there are exaggerated and unforeseen shocks’, the centre-back’s situation at Arsenal ‘will not change’ in the coming months, meaning he will finish his season at the Emirates.
While they do say that the Premier League would be prepared to sell him at ‘around €20m’, they won’t be doing so in January, because they do not want to touch a squad that is doing so well in all competitions.
They have four centre-backs in Kiwior, Jurrien Timber, Gabriel and William Saliba, and any departure ‘would then have to be replaced’.
At this moment in time, only an offer for a straight sale ‘could move the English’, but for that to happen, it would have to be really good, and likely allow them to make a profit, which seems extremely unlikely at this moment in time considering he hasn’t played much.
